Rock music will be featured in the plazas of Jujuy as Tilcara hosts an event for emerging bands this Friday. The festival, called “Rock en Tilcara,” aims to provide a platform for new artistic expressions and broaden the region’s cultural offerings.
The event is scheduled for Friday, January 23 at 4:30 p.m. at Cancha Huasamayo. It is free and open to the public. Local bands from Jujuy will perform on an outdoor stage, celebrating the diversity of musical styles present in the province beyond its traditional folklore.
The Ministry of Culture and Tourism supports this initiative as part of a broader strategy to diversify cultural meeting spaces in Jujuy. According to the ministry, “this initiative is part of a comprehensive strategy that diversifies spaces for cultural gatherings, allowing new musical voices to find a platform within Jujuy’s communities.”
