More than 90 children and teenagers performed at the Teatro Mitre as part of the concert “Latidos de la Quebrada.” The event brought together students from the Choirs and Orchestras Program in Purmamarca, Maimará, Tumbaya, and Volcán.
The Ministry of Education continues to support socio-educational activities aimed at developing not only musical skills but also teamwork and technical abilities. These efforts are intended to help young musicians become active participants in their educational journeys by strengthening their capacities through music education.
According to the Ministry of Education, “the Choirs and Orchestras Program belongs to the Secretariat of Socio-Educational Policies of the Ministry of Education. It promotes inclusion and participation through music as a pedagogical, artistic, and community tool, strengthening the bond between school and territory.”
The concert was an opportunity for young people from Quebrada to present their work in a venue with cultural significance in the province. Families attended to witness the progress made by students involved in music training.
Maestro Daniel Vedia, known for his long musical career, attended alongside singer and teacher Ivana Ávila. Vedia emphasized “the importance of the Choirs and Orchestras Program” during his remarks. Ávila gave a special performance with the orchestra from Tumbaya and Volcán.
The Ministry highlighted “the work of music trainers, orchestra directors, and committed socio-educational agents who view music education as essential for channeling emotions, encouraging free expression, and building a future through artistic language.”
